Stylish Eyeglasses for Clear Vision

“Men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses.” ~ Dorothy Parker

Girls were for long challenged to remain stylish while wearing eyeglasses. Dreaded by the thought of being unattractive to men, they seek other means to battle their eye problems such as opting for contact lenses which, in spite of their advantages, bring considerable risks to the eyes. For some girls, they tend to ignore signs of vision problems just to maintain their style. Having four eyes was thought to give an impression of being studious, introvert, highly intellectual but not fun to be with.

eyeglasses 1 Pictures, Images and Photos

"I was a bookworm, and very skinny with big, thick glasses. I never went on dates and guys were afraid of me because I was smart. So I got contact lenses, started to dress a little better and tried not to talk about Plato with boys. It worked!" ~ Julianne Moore

In response to this fear of women, prescription glasses nowadays come in very fashionable and stylish designs. According to your face type, preference and personality, you can decide whether full frames, semi-rimless, rimless, classic frames, retro frames or fashion glasses would work best on you. Most designer glasses and even normal glasses are crafted to make a woman maintain her self confidence while complementing her vogue.

Glasses have become so trendy that they seem be an extension of life. Both men and women cannot leave their house without them, either sun glasses or prescription glasses. In some countries, the trend has become overwhelming so that parents, in an attempt to make their kids look stylish, force them to wear eye glasses at very early age. You can visit the schools of such country and you would see about 50 percent of k1 students wearing eye glasses. Who would have thought that eye glasses would no longer be a trend solely for grown ups?

In choosing glasses to wear, it is important that you get what you really need. For instance, do you need a pair that would aid you in a very active job so that even if it falls, it would just bounce back to its original shape? You must search for flexible glasses. If you are someone that is fashion, a model, a fashion writer, or whatever you do who has love for things that are stunner, then you must look for fashion eyeglasses. If you are highly dignified with a very distinguished position, you might not want to wear very fashion glasses but something professional with edge, there are tons of these very eyeglasses available for you. All you need is time and a careful search for that pair of eyeglasses that would serve you best. Glasses online makes your search very convenient. It enables you to check as many eyewears as you can without the need to drive from one shop to another.

Gone are the days when wearing eyeglasses was thought to be ugly. Today, wearing glasses is actually trendy. You simply have to find that pair of eyeglasses which do not serve only for clear vision but also as an exquisite accessory.

Etsy Finds what I love across Europe

etsy

Who does not love Etsy? Even before this blog was born I was already Etsy hunting. I even considered joining the hunters by becoming an Etsy retailer so that I would have the reason to hunt for what I'd love and then sell whatever is beyond the budget. Ha! Things became too hectic that spare time only allows me to manage this passion blog. But my weekly, if not daily, etsy watch is on going. It is never idle. The shop recently has turned its eyes at every angle across Europe leaving nothing unexamined by its lense.

"Etsy is taking a trip through Europe, with Etsy sellers from eleven different European countries. Take a look for yourself with our Shop Local feature — you'll find shops across borders near and far. Are you already on your way to Berlin for the grand opening party on April 1 at their new Etsy office? Get going! You only have a week left. RSVP for the party here."

I wanted to join the party but I was too late. The hall was fully booked. Therefore I contented myself checking all the finds - Etsy Finds: Across the Pond, Etsy Finds: Go Euro, Etsy Finds: Early Bird or Night Owl?, Etsy Finds Decor: Romantic Curiosities.

Did you girls get those notices too? From women's fashion, to home decors, to paintings, to photography and everything in between. You bet, I satisfied my thirst first with what's I'm more into. Thusm here are my picks:

SPRING SALE (S-M) Lace-Up Leg Warmers in Purple - READY TO SHIP

Even demons love fashion?

demonic

When I opened Kate's mail today with her urging me to immediately take a look at her newest items on store, I knew that I'd love what I'll see. But I didn't think that they'd come with the strangest names I never would have expected.

Gorgeous new shoes from demonia. The Bullet militant boots would surely work best for me.

Fantastic accessories from Kreepsville. I purposefully dropped the second part of their names, "666". I just grew up hearing lectures from dad about these tripple numbers. Makes my hair stand. I might take the Cherry necklace; but that still, is debatable.

If you're kind of fan of horror movies and not scary-cat, then consider these as additions to your collection. If there's anything that does not rock about them, maybe that's just the parts of their name that starts with D or 6. But who really cares?

Anyway, I'm quite anxious about getting terribly overworked these days but not as anxious as the thought of having 46degrees celsius in the summers. Wish me luck girls.

P.S. Winner for our accesory giveaway will be announced on Sunday. Thanks to all who participated. :)

Go wild and free! Get your accessory!

“All good things are wild, and free.” ~ Henry David Thoreau

Did you hear that girls? Did you read that? Yes, some if not all good things can really be wild and free! Take a look at these creations and tell me if they aren't good enough - for free!

“I know many married men, I even know a few happily married men, but I don't know one who wouldn't fall down the first open coal hole running after the first pretty girl who gave him a wink.”
~ Buddha.

Haha! to dear Buddha. All the while I thought he never looked at any girl. It never occurred to me that he would be so willing to fall in a pit of coal all for the sake of a pretty girl's wink. Or perhaps, "All married men ..." Was he ever been married? That I do not know. But if that pretty girl he's talking about is wearing this Coal and Collected neclace with multi color effect that is easily adjustable, I bet his philosophy would apply even to those happily unmarried men. ;)

Cleopatra Cuff. Cleaopatra, she is a beauty, isn't she?

Oh, if only Cleopatra's nose was shorter, the entire world would have a new definition of beauty. The whole face of the world would have been changed! Her beauty was in itself not altogether incomparable. But somehow, creativity and wild imagination can entirely make a difference. 'Cause if not, how has her beauty been captured in a cuff? Oh, wait ... big apologies, ladies. Such a mistake! This isn't how Cleopatra looked like. But this is a kind that she would wear. Now, that definitely, isn't a mistake. But beware girls, this cuff creates a new image of Cleopatra. This makes a super rocker-esk Cleopatra.

“There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly.” ~ Richard Buckminster. But there is nothing in a butterfly that tells you it is just a pin. This Flutterfly Pin can be your own version of Blair Waldorf's pin. Would you need it in a scheme to make your boyfriend jealous and get his attention because he's becoming a workaholic or a self-possessed achiever? You don't need a Lord to get his full attention back , you just need a pin. ;) Haha! How easy.

“In fact, it makes me mad when someone kills snakes or dogs or cats or horses. I don't even like to eat meat - that is how much I am against killing....” ~ Charles

Good old Charles would love us 'cause we girls don't kill snakes, we wear them! Do the committee of snake murderers need proofs? What about this Snake Belt with Antique Circle? This vintage inspired belt is nothing but wild and adorable.

Ladies, I can go on and on for all the good things that are wild and free. But I had my chance and now it's yours. These are just my choices. You can visit the site to choose for more.

Empty that Closet! Contest

Girls, does it come to you when you don't know what to wear and when it feels like you don't have enough in your wardrobe? Are there times when you wish you can shop for more so that your closet can give you more options?

And then does it occur to you that your closet is actually overcrowded but that what taking so much space are the old clothes or old accessories that you don't feel like wearing anymore or items that you had grabbed from sale but you had never worn?

I believe this is true to most of us and certainly this is true to me.

This red and white stripes two piece has literally been sleeping in my closet for more than two years, never been worn since I brought them home. As you can see, this pair is a tube and a skirt. However, the top is too short that wearing it makes me look slutty, lol, while the skirt, even if it looks very sexy on me, I couldn't find something else that would go along with it and it doesn't feel right to wear them seperately.

But thanks to this contest Empty your closet! I was inspired to find a way to get them out of the house and say "hi" to the world.

CIMG2506a

Look! Instead of wearing the tube as a top, I decided to wear it as a scarf. Taking a black turtle neck knitted sleveless, a black hose and a pair of black boots, the outfit went perfect. In the photo above, I was with Daisy and Joy, the girls who were also Empty your closet! inspired.

Disney Couture: Alice in Wonderland Jewelry

One of my favorite childhood fantasies is Alice in Wonderland. How would it feel to be suddenly in a land so heavenly that everything is perfect and fun? I always wondered.

I did not have a perfect childhood and it was not the most exciting phase of life one can have. But it was not that I did not get the best of it. It wasn't perfect, but it was good.

Everything that I needed and wished that I couldn't get, I had a way to get them. I would go early to bed, and when the lights were off, I always went to places where I had access to everything that I wished for - in my fantasies.

It wasn't until I grew older that I realized that all my day dreaming and fantasizing were actually not useless exits from reality; because through them, my creative imagination was developed. If only there was such a thing as mind recorder, I must have written so many stories.

It made me realize that I can be and that I am a writer.

Fantasy characters such as Alice were always a mystery to me. I would try to copy anything that could make me get a feel of how it is to be like them. Sometimes, I tried to be Princess Sarah. Lol. How foolish a child can be. Of course, it never was the same as in the movies.

But it never occurred to me that such creativity of fashion designers can bring a feeling to any other girl just how it is to be like Alice . Through the creations of Tom Binns, wonderland is at reach. Or it might not be that accessible actually, because even before these products can settle in the shelves, people are lining up to pre-order.

How fun and how glamorous!

These hot new products are creations of Tom Binns for Disney Couture.

Special thanks to the fashionably independent and the Film for the Alice in the wonderland photos.

Where to shop affordable in Bangkok?

Bangkok is a knock-off heaven if you are into incredibly cheap products. It is even better if you know how to bargain.

When my boyfriend visited me here in Bangkok three months ago, we shopped around the city looking for some fancy but affortable stuff for his gifts and presents back home. He was choosing products/goods for his guy friends while I took charge for the female friends [girls thing].

So we shopped around bargaining here and there. Of course, it was me who did the bargaining because I know a little bit of Thai.

Now let's take a look at what I've got and where we've got them.

goodies set 1

goodies set 2

First I shopped for those 17k gold dangling earrings at MBK. The orignal price was ฿2,100 [$63.3]. After some bargaining, I got the earrings for ฿1,700 [$51.2]. The heart shape jewelry box was not included.

Then we shopped at Platinum Fashion Mall, Pratunam to get those stone necklaces, chokers and bracelet. This time I was not able to bargain. The price for each choker/necklace ranged from ฿450 to ฿500 [$13.6-$15]. The sales girl reasoned that they're already giving the goods at whole sale price blah, blah, blah. She was thankful I liked the chokers a lot that I went for them.

For those set 2 goodies, we got them from night bazaar. We were walking scanning all the crazy displays [which oftentimes gives me headache] at Sala Daeng when I noticed these sexy tops. The prices were ฿299-฿350 [$9-$10.5]. And again, I bargained.

I was glad to know that the German girls found them cool. They said it's kind'a rock. Sexy tops with skulls design? Oh, well.

The display accessories such as the elephant frame [฿350], the Budha and Hindu god [฿500 each] and the japanese flowers [฿500] were bought from a night market as well and were all in bargain prices.

And you know what's my overdone bargaining phrase? It's "Rut-dai-mai-kah?" The R is pronounced as L. Thus, "Lut-die-my-kaa?"

Korean Fashion Trends

While I would say that Korean fashion trends are mostly too extravagant for me to carry, the girls in this country just love them. They are very into Koreans starting from the face [they go as far as going under knife just to make their face look like Koreans], the dress and accessories. I don’t really blame them because Korean fashion is definitely amazing, only that, I am more into the philosophy of “less is more”.

If I would really have to choose one outfit from the following Korean styles, I would take the last. What about you?
