I used to religiously scout for fashions on sale and blog about them every weekend. But then, my day job has taken over and getting too worn out all the time unconciously made me leave this passion - Sale, how I love Thee! - at the back burner.

But hey, despite my tiredness, I'm sure I couldn't let this good news fly off my window. I did for a lot of them. Shhhh! That was because I did not really want you girls to spend more of your money. Yet here I am, excited to tell you that Shopbop is having some really crazy sale.

The first thing I scanned page by page was for the shoes. There are tons of them on sale and mostly are at 70%. Honestly though, a lot of them have not struck the core of my fashion sense. I didn't feel that restless feeling, with hands and feet sweating and mind swirling. Nah, not really. But since there are too many shoes on sale, that just meant I could search through all of them to finally find something to fall in love with.

Then I did find them, a pair that I would so love to embrace.

Sale, how I love Thee: Kate’s Necessary Evil

When asked “Do you love bargains?” I was like, “Is that a question?” But Kate’s Clothing is asking not only me actually, but all of you - girls who love sale!

Kate’s Clothing is screaming “Over 80 Sale Bargains!” here. Of course, I would never ignore such a call. Since its Necessary Evil’s shriek, you expect to see almost all products in the shade of black. There are some sprinkles of non-black color here and there, but only to complement the main black. Therefore, it is not a matter of color, it is of style.

I happened to like this Gothic Black Ossa Bodice Red Ribbon Top. It’s being stretchable with ribbons and zip up, a kind that you’d say, “It rocks!” The red ribbons can easily be mistaken as the ones that adjust according to your width and preferred fitting, but they're not. There is black cord lacing at the back for adjustment purposes.

Paired by Necessary Evil Gothic Black Ravana Adjustable Skirt, this outfit looks great at the front view. But the back looks weird. I don’t know if it’s just me, but those raffles are just too much. I searched for an alternative skirt to pair with this Red Ribbon top. I wanted a not so loud type of long skirt. I then found one, oh how perfect! But just to be embarrassed at myself. The alternative turned out to be just the same skirt. I thought “Didn’t you see that word ADJUSTABLE?” That actually means you can remove the raffles if you wish so and just let the hem hang naturally down.

And then I saw this Chiffon Halter Dress. How lovely and how elegant! This dress is perfect for a wild night at the dance floor. Hmm, as if I dance. Actually I don’t. But this chiffon is just too elegant I can’t help it.

And then I found another black to steal, what lovely skirt! Oh, and there's one more! And then …

It has become a habit here at Creative Fashion to blog every weekend about fashion items I spotted on sale. I have identified these shoes that are worth your scrutiny, and if they pass, you need to hurry because they are flying off the racks.


It's always easy to do catwalk when you're wearing stilletos whereas it is a challenge when you're wearing flats. However, based from my observation, I realized that in order to fake heels when you want to wear flats, you should go for pointed toe. Whether it is for work, date or formal party, you would remain elegant in them. This Elizabeth and James Jessi Flat is a very good option if you are into flats. Girls, if there is something that worries me when I travel, it's the safety of my shoes. I always try to protect my babies when I have to pack them for a journey by putting old news papers inside them especially for the toes. There is nothing more frustrating than unwrapping your luggage and seeing your beloved shoes deformed. If I have to save space or weight for my luggage when I'm flying, I put inside the shoes clothes that are soft such as jersy or silk instead of papers. I reason, that at least, it is more practical to acquire expensive items if they are on sale.

You don't plan to buy anything, but suddenly you see something so enticing that you cannot resist? And it is worse if the item is on sale.

Well, although it happens to me most of the time, I always do not regret the items that I bring home.

Smart Tips on Shopping for a Block Friday or Cyber Monday

The cyber world is so packed up with all the Block Friday and Cyber Monday adds. Anywhere you turn you see banners screaming out "Sale, sale, sale". You receive emails informing you of coupons and discount prices here and there. Tremendous amount of offers just fall on your lap and they can just be so enticing. Afterall, isn't shopping the girls' biggest weakness?

Above are the dresses that I would love to slide myself in for some up-coming parties. They are so gorgeous. What product can be better than these with their prices? Very affordable? Boy! Look at those metallic purple shoes from Iron Fist with green Leopard spots, aren't they fierce? If you observe, they would actually match any of the dress.

And again, sale, sale, sale. What a wonderful block Friday and cyber Monday. I can save a lot from my salary because even if I shop, I get the products at very low prices.

Aha! Wait a minute. Did I just hear the word "save"? Isn't shopping for the name of "sale" still means spending? And isn't buying more products that are on sale still means more spending?

From my little background on sale and marketing, I know some tricks about sale. Take this as an example. The shop owner knows that thanks giving and christmas are coming. More people would have time and money to go out to shop because of vacations and 13th month pay. One or few months before thanks giving and christmas the shop owner would increase the prices of his goods by maybe 18%. Then comes the block Friday and cyber Monday. The shop owner dramatically declares sale on all products by 20%. Well,that's just a little picture.

So what do I suggest? Be smart and creative in shopping. There are tons of sale out there this season. Look carefully for the things that you need and would need often. Dresses or shoes that can be worn only for one or two ocassions are not a good idea. Even if you got them on sale, they would sit inside the closet for most of the time. Look for shoes, dresses, or jeans that would go along with what you already have in your closet, specifically, with the shade color that you mostly have. Also, don't be afraid to cross-match. That is, if you find a great dress at one shop with a very reasonable price, and then there's a pair of shoes that you would so fancy because they match perfectly with the dress but the price is a bit high, you might buy only the dress and check from other shops first if you can also get as fancy shoes but with lower price. However, not all cheaper products make a good choice. Sometimes, you can avail products at lower prices but their quality is not very satisfying. They may not last as long as a good quality product would.

If you are smart in your shopping, then you can truly take advantage of this season's discounts and bonuses.
