I don't speak fashion? I speak food

Before my boyfriend flew back to Germany three weeks ago, my good friend Eunice gave me a call inviting us for dinner. It wasn't just any other dinner as it turned out, it was one of those rare dinner that I had in four years. She prepared some filipino dish that are my favorites. The best which is the "adobo".

While everyone was busy in the kitchen, Honey was baby sitting. He made such a quick bonding with baby Jashniel that surprisingly, the baby wouldn't even let me carry him.

I simply posed with both them instead.

Therefore I wasn't speaking fashion that time, I was speaking food.

Drop by Lilliana's blog - The CheapChica's Style to Fashion and wish her a Happy 1 Year Blog Anniversary! While you're doing that, don't forget to enter for a chance to win a $40 Ruche Gift Card!

Thank you CheapChicas for your affordable fashion finds!

Indeed, a picture is worth a thousand words

I know I'm kind'a uncreative with my hair in these photos, but honestly, there are times that i love to wear my hair this way - crazy and carefree.

I love this pair of boots a lot I can pair them with a lot of outfits.

I love this sling body bag a lot too from Natasha, a Philippines fashion line, that I still have it after six years now. [Whew! Isn't that ages?]

As for my denim skirt, I got it from the night market here in Bangkok five years back and has worn it sooooo many times that it has served more than it's worth.

The belt on the other hand is another item from Haas, and as you can guess, I got it through a saler, 40percent off. I always get something from Haas when they're on sale, lol.

What about you? What's the oldest outfit you got that you love so much?

Worn out from work? Dress up and beat it!

Sitted at the cafeteria during lunch time on Friday, I, Daisy and Joy were able to talk after three weeks of no bonding. "What is happening to me?" was my question. Why do I feel angry and sad but I don't understand why? The girls chorussed, "That's exactly what I feel!"

We figured out that we three are suffering from depression due to burn out from work. My boyfriend is affected by the behavior that I was showing lately. I had no idea that Joy just had a fight with her boyfriend that morning, the same situation. As for Daisy, her husband is wondering why she easily gets mad even though he has done nothing but to pamper her with love and sweetness. These girls knew why.

Thus we decided we gotta beat it. Each took her phone, dialled a number and informed her man that "we three are going out tonight".

"Is it pay day?" was the question. Lol, "No." we replied. "We just need a girls' night out."

Indeed, we needed. And we dressed up. Isn't that the woman's best way of beating anything negative? Dressing up?

And I tell you what? It worked.

Ruche Interviewed by Simply Hue

Lovely Vicki from Simply Hue just posted an interview. Feel free to check it out and find out a lil more about me and Ruche! =)

Thanks a bunch Vicki!

Comfy outfit perfect for getting around

When I go around the city to explore this "land of smile", I always wear simple and comfy outfits. I can't be in any crazy fashion given the heat; boy, it's terribly hot in here. Since I tend to sweat a lot under the sun, I always choose to wear anything white. That way, i don't trap too much heat.

I and my boyfriend took a cruise, a package worth 150baht each for seven ferry stations that lead to seven tourist spots.

This is one of those comfy outfits I easily pull out if I were to go around. Also, expect my footwear to be sporty tennis or rubber shoes.

We got off at the seventh pier to visit the grand palace. I was wondering if the early kings did use to live in this place.

CIMG1391

The palace is a complete magnificence.

P.S.
Due to one fashionista's comment, I decided I have to mention this: If you are planning to visit the grand palace, make sure to wear something decent. No sleeveless tops, no minis and no slippers. Otherwise, you won't be allowed to enter the palace. :)

More dressess from my archive

We three wanted to have a theme for our year-end party named "Hollywood meets Bollywood" that we decided to shop together. Gladly enough we found these dresses that were simply waiting for us to bring home. I actually wanted to wear the blue dress that Daisy was wearing. I pulled it out from the display first and secured it for myself. But when i fitted it, it did not fit me well because of my not so-rich chests. I had to give it up to Daisy who claimed that she looks more like J. Lo given her voluptuous figure. The dress, other than it's color, is styled similar to what J.Lo wore to the party when she played cinderella to meet up with the Senator in the movie "Maid in Manhattan".

IMG_1989

So i settled myself with the much simplier styled red dress. However, when i got myself inside it, it surprising turned out stunning. Joy on the other hand was more than happy to carry the more revealing more daring dress that she got.

Daisy was playing the tv host interviewing her co-Charlie's Angels; I and Joy. :)

And we made sure we lead the dance floor.

IMG_1893

It wasn't much for a dance. It was actually more of funny stupid little moves that we put up together to make some fun. It worked.

IMG_1889

So here are some of the Bollywood stars that we met on the set. I really love Indian dresses that I promised myself to get one soon.

At last, we had a shot with our photographer a.k.a James Bond and our big boss a.k.a. wife of Zoro.

It was such a fabulous night.

Special thanks to Michael Braun for the photography.

Design your own t-shirt online at Inkimprints.com

Whenever my debating club needs debate t-shirts, it is always a stress to scout the city for a cheaper but quality t-shirt printing shop. As the adviser of the club, it is my duty to find time for this time-consuming task; otherwise, I would have to assign some students to do the job which at times results to me not being satisfied.

Not anymore. I found this t-shirt design website where you can design your own custom t-shirts and order online.

6640_109989466375_105808001375_2352463_5388474_n

The website is definitely well-designed and is easy to use. Once you come into their homepage, you will immediately know what to do. You will have to choose from their stocks of shirts: t-shirts, sweats; or for ladies, men; or for different quantities.

frontpage

You can also decide if you want your design to be custom screen printed or embroidered. Once you click on your necessary choices, they will bring you to their very functional design lab. The design lab allows you to create your own design and showcase your creativity and style. The lab also allows you to upload graphics that you will need to complete your design such as logos or photos. The lab is completely a work of art.

It is also necessary to remember that InkImprints.com gives no fees for the art. Meaning, you design your own shirt for free. They also have 24/48 hour rush services and the more you order, the more you save.

If you cannot find the garment that you need from their stocks, no worries. You can email them and discuss about the particular material that you need for your order. They are fast to accommodate their costumers’ needs.

6640_109991341375_105808001375_2352475_476678_n

I read a lot of feedbacks from their costumers and I found them all positive. For example, one costumer designed her t-shirt online but was unable to see the inconsistencies of her design, Custom t-shirts fixed it for her and she was more than satisfied with the result. Another costumer found his orders delivered a little bit late than expected, Custom t-shirts gave him discounts on his next orders and they definitely came on time. While one costumer rightly said that he has not found other services yet that deliver orders within 24 hour. [Or am I yet to find?]

If you are an individual who simply wants to wear something extra-ordinary of your own design, or if you are a member of a club or associations and you want to have a t-shirt to identify your group, or if you are a small business or a corporation and you would need t-shirts for your employees bearing your company’s name and logo, or if you are a member of a family whose reunion is up coming and you would need a t-shirt to express your warm welcome to everyone on it, or if you are a blogger and you want to hold competitions to generate your traffic and you want to give away t-shirts or sweat shirts bearing your blog’s banner, then custom shirts are at your service.

"Name This Dress" Contest Winner!

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend!

Thank you all for participating once again! Very very creative names and once again it was a very difficult decision.

The winning name, my absolute favorite, and picked by a view people IS...."La Vie En Rose" by Wendy! There were a couple entries with this name so I had to pick the first person that entered it, which was Wendy! Congrats!!!

What my 50% dress made me?

I knew I needed to get some new outfits for the start of the school year so I went shopping for some formal work clothes at Central Rama 3 Mall. Walking through all the boutiques however, I found myself touching all the fancy materials of fashionable dresses, tops and blouses, jackets and even glamourous bags from Haas. What excited me more was the fact that they went as low as 50 percent off. If you keep track of my posts, you might notice that I only get myself some designers' outfit if they are on sale. [Oh sale, how I love thee]

Expectedly, I ended up buying a dress and a glamour huge bag [the bag I'll save for my next post so please tune in].

In these first two photos, I tried the dress on after a long night to prepare for the next day's church. The reason why I looked so haggard. :)

By the way, do you notice the red shadow of my hair? My hair has a natural shade of red but can only be seen through the light or the sun. My boyfriend was surprised when he discovered that. I told him that I used to dislike it. When I was younger, I always cut my hair very short because they turn red when grown. As a young lady, I grew my hair long but was also spending much for hair dressers to dye them black. Now as an adult, I simply leave them as they are. I realized I'm lucky I don't have to dye them with colors just like most of the girls do.

The black thin-jersey-material scarf with diamond sequins gave the dress a conservative look just perfect for church.

On the way out from our street to the high way, my boyfriend was taking photos of me from behind. I was busy with my phone.

We then spent our evening at the Ocean World located at the basement of Siam Paragon. It gave me chance to say "hi" to all the fishes.

Here is another crop. As I've said, I love cropping photos.

I wanted to lie down on this bench with the acquarium as background for some rare effects but I was too shy to do so. Not with some tourists eyes on me. And the background turned out too dark anyway. :(

Oh, i so love this photo. With my natural catwalk and all, stolen shots are just better at times.

CIMG1552

I went home with a prayer "TGFTS" which means "Thank God for this Saturday". I love my life.
