Geeky and sexy fashion essentials for Halloween

"How would you love to squeeze yourself in a Ziggy Stardust jumpsuit, dance all night in a fringed flapper dress or strut your stuff in a beautifully adorned showgirl costume on Halloween?" You might hear Christine of Etsy finds ask you this question referring to some geeky and sexy outfits that she found.

I don't celebrate Halloween and I'm not even fond of it but sporting some of these outfits, I won't really mind.

Empty that Closet! Contest

Girls, does it come to you when you don't know what to wear and when it feels like you don't have enough in your wardrobe? Are there times when you wish you can shop for more so that your closet can give you more options?

And then does it occur to you that your closet is actually overcrowded but that what taking so much space are the old clothes or old accessories that you don't feel like wearing anymore or items that you had grabbed from sale but you had never worn?

I believe this is true to most of us and certainly this is true to me.

This red and white stripes two piece has literally been sleeping in my closet for more than two years, never been worn since I brought them home. As you can see, this pair is a tube and a skirt. However, the top is too short that wearing it makes me look slutty, lol, while the skirt, even if it looks very sexy on me, I couldn't find something else that would go along with it and it doesn't feel right to wear them seperately.

But thanks to this contest Empty your closet! I was inspired to find a way to get them out of the house and say "hi" to the world.

Look! Instead of wearing the tube as a top, I decided to wear it as a scarf. Taking a black turtle neck knitted sleveless, a black hose and a pair of black boots, the outfit went perfect. In the photo above, I was with Daisy and Joy, the girls who were also Empty your closet! inspired.

If you could dress up like Candy

We say that we identify ourselves through our friends. Indeed, I identify myself through them. They are few, chosen few who share my interests and who reflect the big part of me.

I love fashion and I am addicted to it. Thus basically, my very close friends share this love too.

And for today's post, I am featuring the style of my good old friend Candy. We were college friends. We used to trade outfits and run sack one's closet. We were of the same size for clothes and shoes. We were an exact reflection of taste. But as we matured, each has developed her own better style and identity.

We have not seen each other for five years now. But thanks to facebook we got connected again.

This photo was taken when we were in our second year college. This was the magic five [I and Candy were both in white]. I am not the shortest, mind you, but in this photo, I was bare footed because I played Titania, the queen of fairies in Shakespear's "Amidst Summer Night's Dream". The others were in high heels.

confident in a hat?

Wearing a hat is another way of exuding confidence. If you decide to go with one, make sure that it goes perfectly with your outfit. For the color, it does not have to be always a match; rather, it has to be a complement. Just make sure that your outfit's and hat's color, even different, can harmonize together. As for the style, as long as you don't wear a baseball hat to match your gorgeous evening wear, you're fine. lol.
