Simple and Affordable Bridesmaid Dresses

Bridesmaid dresses your girlfriends can wear again! If you or one of your girlfriends is getting married, it is a good idea to take a look at Utterly Engaged's Alternative Bridesmaid feature. UtterlyEngaged.com is a new online wedding magazine for the budget conscious bride. It is full of fun and creative alternatives to creating a high-end looking wedding within the budget. If only this site existed when I got married! In this issue, they talked about how you can find simple and affordable dresses and turn them in to amazing bridesmaid dresses with the right accessories.

I helped styled the ladies with dresses from Ruche! You would never even consider these dresses as bridesmaid dresses, but look how great they look with the right accessories and flowers!

Thanks special thanks to:
-Lucia from Utterly Engaged for planning and setting it up
-Stephanie Williams Photography
-Flowers by JL Designs
-Makeup and Hair by Theresa Huang
-Beautiful creations from etsy ladies - shabby chic necklace & barrettes by La Vieja Tun Tun and cute crochet necklaces by meekssandygirl, hair pieces from Be Something New
-Urbanic Paper Boutique for letting us borrow their place to get ready
-AND of course the lovely models that couldn't showcase the looks any better - Patricia Iluore, Afie, Tiffany Toto.

Another Photoshoot

I worked with Rodney Ray to style the gorgeous Katerina a couple weeks ago. The style is a little different than Ruche's romantic feel, but I still want to share with you all. There are so many different ways to wear clothing to get entirely different looks. That is one reason why I love styling. I always prefer to get the "Ruche" look in all my clothing, but you could always switch up your shoes, accessories and even hair style to get a different look.

Katerina is wearing the Masai Mara Safari Shirt Dress in brown and the Swedish pointy clog heels, both from Ruche of course.

Here are some pictures:

For a sexy business look, I paired her up with the whipped cream tank, cadette gray high waist buttoned skirt with the Swedish pointy clog heels.

Katerina is wearing the Flour mill knitted sweater in the pictures below.

Photoshoot with Vasti

I recently styled a photoshoot with the talented photographer Vasti and beautiful Jessica Yu. Vasti wanted to do an Indie/Hippie concept.

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from the shoot.

I paired Jennifer up with this white wrap shirt (available soon on ShopRuche.com), mustard seed ruffle scarf, black high waisted jeans, chili pepper cuff, and cranberry lace cuff, red braided belt (coming soon), and turquoise teardrop feather earrings.

The mango lassi dress was used here in a very rustic way with high vintage brown boots. You can easily pair this dress up with heels and nice jewelry for a more elegant look. Looks great for weddings!

I just love the colors in this picture:

The Boho look with the bloomsbury indian hippie tunic and some wooden jewelry.
