How to Rock Out With Your Cock Out (™)

This is our weekly segment on how to wear vintage. We could have called it "How to Wear Vintage" but the idea isn't to simply "wear" clothes. In a perfect world, we'd like you want to step out of your house with a giant swinging erection that says, "I'll take your lunch money and use it to buy porn." Also, we want you to look nice.

So this week on HTROWYCO it's time to discuss the ever-trendy, unapologetically '80s floral revival dress. Students of fashion, take out your notebooks.

Oh hello. I didn't see you there. I was too busy feeling powerful with a full-on rager in this vintage '90s grunge dolly floral revival dress. I probably gain my powers through this amazing chestnut-colored wide brim hat. That's because it's fabulous with a capital Fuck You.

Supersize me. Go for an oversized blouson top with a free-flowing skirt and fluttery sleeves. An oversized fit sectioned off with an I-Eat-Men-For-Breakfast power belt will add years of street cred: on the playground and in life. Speaking of which...

Vintage '80s Black Floral Full Skirt Mini Dress - Mama Stone Vintage

What we love about this look (besides the Charlotte Gainsbourg-lookalike model) is throwing a bright, bold belt against a muted color palette. Opting for a burst of blue or bright green takes this floral revival's hotness level from '80s to Hades (see what I did there?). Belt it bright, ladies.

Mixing patterns is also an excellent way to modernize your vintage floral frock. One look that gets my fashion-rection rising is to combine stripes with a great floral print. A Warhol-inspired black and white striped leotard under your floral revival gives an eccentric twist to a girly favorite.

The lesson here is: don't be intimidated by a Springtime, uber floral print when what you're really afraid of is some asshole cutting in front you at the subway. By utilizing these tricks, you'll be sure to scare him off with your massive fashion wand. And by that, I mean your pepper spray.

Who's got the best legs? Elite Models

I stumbled upon a forum at tfs where girls debate about who has got the best legs among their favorite elite models. I had a hard time deciding myself. I personally lean more into great shapes although long length is undeniably more coveted. Therefore I thought, perhaps you girls can better clear my blurred thoughts.

Who do you think has got the legs? Is it ...

Why wear sexy lingerie?

“Underwears are human rights” ~ Rebecca Bloomwood

Girls, admit it, you would vouch for Rebecca’s claim, “they’re human rights!” why not? Dolling up yourself with sexy lingerie gives you that feeling of extra – extra sexy. Just like clothes and accessories, underwear is very important part of your wardrobe. They define your outfit, they define your mood.

abcunderwear_2104_283085097

Let’s focus our thoughts on the importance of lingerie for your outfit. Sometimes, after you pulled up those fitting pants, you see a perfect combination of top and pants through the mirror. And then you pivot a little to see those bumps, side ways through the mirror on the wall, but alas, you don’t hear her say “you’re the sexiest of them all”. You wonder why, but then noticed those unwanted clefts. You debate if whether a thong or boyshorts would work best. In my case, I usually go for the latter. There is no exact reason for this other than a personal preference. Also, that boyshorts underwear gives good support and a little lift. But what I know best is that a pair of noticeable cleavage on your behind is not necessary in sporting fitting pants, tights, or skirts.

There are many ways you can use lingerie to give an edge on your outfit. Colorful straps of brassiere for example can add style to a plain spaghetti strap top or a dull off shoulder tee.

Of course, we should not forget that other than fashion, there is one more significant reason why you should wear sexy lingerie. This applies to those girls who are blessed? with a partner. That is passion. Sexy lingerie is more than enough to spark his desires and tease him in a very effortless way.

I love to wear lingerie. The problem is that men always rip it off too quickly. When women are dolled up in lingerie they feel sexy. So let us wear it for five minutes. ~ Karen McDougal

So tell me girls. What is better way to grab your next sexy look than discount lingerie?

Spring Fling Dresses

Spring Fling Vintage '80s Mini Dress - Alameda Vintage

Top Six Tuesdays - Our Favorite Accessories This Week

This violin waist-cinching belt was inspired by the F-Holes or "cuts" that are popular in the tattoo culture (imagine a woman with these on the smallest part of her torso). Now you can become a classical instrument without the permanent ink. I love the stained rich mahogany finish - Ron Burgundy approved.

Before I could blog about this stunning vintage necklace, I had to click "Purchase" before any of you bitches got some ideas. Yes, for the wallet-friendly price of $8 with shipping, this gold-wire cage heart pendant necklace is too tempting.

I've recently become obsessed with this color. Mustard green, sometimes called limegrass. This crocheted slouchy beret has a detachable flower (fierce). I wear a lot of these style hats when modeling for the store because I think they're universally perfect. While a fedora or a porkpie can make you look like an asshole, you can't go wrong with a beautifully crocheted beret. Tell this to your grandchildren.

Ground control to Major Tom. This astronaut necklace comes with a great big hunk of moonstone. Let the Bowie references begin.

I struggle with most earrings because I have a nose ring and too many dangling circles on your head can make you look clinically insane. However, these are not circles and therefore a dazzling alternative for those with a nasal-hoop (or not!).

I'm a big fan of Penelopie's handmade jewelry, especially this Ezra Charm necklace, which feels so antiquey and pretty. Oversized flowers make a great focal point with any outfit and the brass necklace gives a vintage vibe. Be sure to check out her rings too.

More "Top Six" every Tuesday!

Get that Look! Alessandra Ambrosio

“Take care of yourself, be healthy, and always believe you can be successful in anything you truly want.” ~ Alessandra Ambrosio

I so adore this famous quote of Brazilian model, Alessandra Ambrosio, whom, at the age of 12, figured what she truly want in life. Nothing beats the satisfaction of doing what you really want, climbing up the ladder and becoming successful only at the age of 29? I can only dream of.

While Alessandra famously graced the runway with those lingerie of Victoria's Secret, she also was identified as someone who loves to snuggle up, feels best in a comfy skirt, a comfy top and a comfy pullover. Only that, she does it in a really cool way.

Sale, how I love Thee: Kate’s Necessary Evil

When asked “Do you love bargains?” I was like, “Is that a question?” But Kate’s Clothing is asking not only me actually, but all of you - girls who love sale!

Kate’s Clothing is screaming “Over 80 Sale Bargains!” here. Of course, I would never ignore such a call. Since its Necessary Evil’s shriek, you expect to see almost all products in the shade of black. There are some sprinkles of non-black color here and there, but only to complement the main black. Therefore, it is not a matter of color, it is of style.

blackdress

I happened to like this Gothic Black Ossa Bodice Red Ribbon Top. It’s being stretchable with ribbons and zip up, a kind that you’d say, “It rocks!” The red ribbons can easily be mistaken as the ones that adjust according to your width and preferred fitting, but they're not. There is black cord lacing at the back for adjustment purposes.

Paired by Necessary Evil Gothic Black Ravana Adjustable Skirt, this outfit looks great at the front view. But the back looks weird. I don’t know if it’s just me, but those raffles are just too much. I searched for an alternative skirt to pair with this Red Ribbon top. I wanted a not so loud type of long skirt. I then found one, oh how perfect! But just to be embarrassed at myself. The alternative turned out to be just the same skirt. I thought “Didn’t you see that word ADJUSTABLE?” That actually means you can remove the raffles if you wish so and just let the hem hang naturally down.

And then I saw this Chiffon Halter Dress. How lovely and how elegant! This dress is perfect for a wild night at the dance floor. Hmm, as if I dance. Actually I don’t. But this chiffon is just too elegant I can’t help it.

And then I found another black to steal, what lovely skirt! Oh, and there's one more! And then …
